Red Line Synthetic Engine Oils are derived from our Race Oils and are used by many racers, they were formulated specifically for street use in all kinds of passenger cars and light, medium and heavy trucks. Red Line Engine Oils outperform all petroleum-based oils and all other synthetics on the market today. Our Engine Oils are designed to provide highest performance, best durability, ultimate protection and outstanding cleanliness along with lowest friction to your automotive, motorcycle, marine or stationary engine running on gasoline, diesel, alcohol or natural gas fuel.

At Red Line, we use the most stable synthetic lubricant base stocks available and formulate our products for wear protection and friction reduction across a wide range of engine operating conditions. Red Line lubricants are unique because they contain polyester base stocks, the only lubricant base stock type that withstands the incredible heat present in the hot sections of jet engines.

This high-temperature stability makes Red Line Engine Oils a necessity for proper lubrication of high-performance engines, turbo-charged engines, heavily loaded truck engines or any engine that runs high engine oil temperature. Red Line is not just for high-performance and racing. Ordinary cars and trucks that see "daily driver" duty benefit greatly when their engines are lubricated with Red Line engine oils. More performance, better fuel economy and increased durability come with use of our oils in daily drivers. Because of the robust polyester base stock and high-performance anticorrosive additive package in Red Line oils, they are ideal for use in street-driven vehicles at extended drain intervals. Red Line recommends oil changes for engines that are in good condition and do not see frequent starts without warm-ups or short-trips at between 10,000 and 18,000 miles for gasoline engines, 10,000 and 12,000 miles for diesel engines.

Red Line 5W30 - Provides the quickest starts and fastest oil pressure rise. Will reduce turbo lag and provides more power and best economy in an engine in good condition. Replacement for OE factory-fill oils in passenger cars and most light trucks. Thicker oil film at operating temperature than a petroleum 10W-40. Best choice for engines operated in extreme cold weather.

Red Line 10W30 - Best all-weather viscosity grade for gasoline engines in cars and light trucks that are driven on the street on a daily basis. Reduces turbo lag and provides more power and economy while providing thicker bearing oil films at operating temperature than a petroleum 10W-40. Best all-round, synthetic oil for stock or slightly modified engines in high- performance cars that are street-driven. Best choice to replace a 5W-30 or 10W-30, petroleum-based or other-brand synthetic oil if maximum durability is preferred. Acceptable for engines that are occasionally operated in extreme cold weather.

Red Line 10W40 - Best choice for engines that typically run high oil temperature. Best choice for engines in daily drivers operated in very hot weather on a regular basis. Best choice for medium and heavy duty gasoline engines in trucks. Best choice for high-performance engines that see street as well as frequent racetrack duty. Thicker oil film at operating temperature than a petro-based 20W-50.

Red Line 15W50 and 20W50 - The ultimate high-temperature protection in Red Line engine oils recommended for street use. Good for engines that regularly run very high oil temperatures. Best for engines that run large clearances such as air-cooled engines or large-displacement, all-out racing engines that see occasional street use. Provides 25% more viscosity in bearings than petroleum 20W-50s. Not recommended for use in cold climates where temperatures are at or below 10 degfrees F or -12 degfrees C. Not recommended for street use in production engines that see sustained oil temperatures below 225 degfrees F. Those engines should use Red Line 10W-30 or 10W-40.

Red Line 15W40 DIESEL ENGINE OIL - Highly resistant to thermal breakdown. Provides double the detergent and acid-neutralizing ability of conventional petroleum diesel engine oils for maximum engine cleanliness. Ideal for diesels that run high oil temperature, such as those operated in hot weather or those in light truck applications where heavy loads are carried or towed. Best choice in medium and heavy-duty diesel truck engines when maximum durability is required. When used at extended drain intervals, it is an excellent value for long-haul, fleet use.

Gasoline Additive

Fuel System Cleaner - is a concentrated package of the most powerful high-temperature detergents available to clean gasoline fuel injectors and intake valves.

Complete Fuel System Cleaner can clean injectors to nearly 100% efficiency in one treatment. The cleansing effect on injector deposits can raise fuel economy approximately 12% or even greater, depending on the condition of the injectors. Although many gasolines advertise injector cleanliness, GM presented a paper to the SAE which indicates that their customers encountered injector plugging with all major brands of gasoline (SAE 861533). Complete Fuel System Cleaner contains detergents and a synthetic upper cylinder lubricant which will help clean the intake valves, pollution control valves, combustion chamber deposits and carburetors. Complete Fuel System Cleaner also protects the fuel system from rust. One bottle treats up to 100 gallons. Safe for continual use.

Diesel Fuel Additive

Diesel Fuel Additives - promote better fuel combustion and fuel system lubrication. They provide faster ignition, reduce detonation, reduce smoke, and improve engine efficiency. Extremely powerful high-temperature detergents clean fuel injectors. Lubricants significantly lengthen injector and pump life and reduce ring friction which is very important for today's low-sulfur fuel. Both Red Line Diesel Fuel Catalyst and 85 Plus are available as a winterized version which will reduce the pour point of a typical fuel by 25 degrees F. Diesel Ignition Improvers - Additives designed for heavy-duty fleet use.

Improves Fuel Economy - Red Line additives are designed to provide measurable and statistically significant fuel efficiency improvements. Red Line RL-2 and RL-3 (contains cetane booster) both improve efficiency by 5.7% relative to untreated fuel. These efficiency improvements are due to injector and ring belt cleanliness and the reduction of friction in the injectors, injection pump, and piston ring reversal area. The use of RL-2 and RL-3 also increases the power output of a diesel engine by approximately 5%. Fuel economy is also improved by similar percentages unless all of the additional power is used to provide faster speeds and acceleration. Fleet tests have shown increases in fuel economy of 3-4% after a few thousand miles of use with Red Line additives.

Cooling System Additive Gas & Diesel

Red Line WaterWetter - is designed to provide improved metal wetting and excellent corrosion inhibition when added to plain water or a glycol coolant. The most poorly maintained system in an automobile is usually the cooling system. Maintenance is quite simple and only required once each year, but most vehicle owners never routinely change the coolant or replenish the corrosion inhibitors which are required for trouble-free operation. Proper cooling system maintenance is very critical for most modern engines which utilize more aluminum.

Aluminum has a very high corrosion potential, even higher than zinc, which is very widely used as a sacrificial anode. The only property which enables aluminum to be used in a cooling system is that it will form protective films under the proper conditions which will prevent the uncontrolled corrosive attack of acids or bases. Poor aluminum corrosion inhibition will cause the dissolution of aluminum at the heat rejection surfaces, weakening the cooling system walls and water pump casing and weakening the head gasket mating surfaces. These corrosion products will then form deposits on the lower temperature surfaces such as in radiator tubes which have very poor heat transfer properties, causing a significant reduction in the cooling ability of the entire system. Red Line WaterWetter will provide the proper corrosion inhibition for all cooling system metals, including aluminum, cast iron, steel, copper, brass, and lead.
